you want to start setting chapters at a street corner buy some chapters and start selling them if you want to start supplying a certain company with something buy the stock and then go and try to start supplying them don’t go through the process of writing the document until

you’ve tested something and you kind of understand what’s happening in the market because once you start writing the business plan you have context and broader knowledge that’s the first thing the second thing is to remember always and this is the most critical thing for people starting businesses to remember

there’s a big difference between being self-employed and being an entrepreneur being self-employed means even though you work for yourself you never have freedom because you work 18 hours a day and if you’re not in the business there is no business

if you really want to be an entrepreneur upfront as you start your business you’ve got to start thinking about how do I replace myself in the most important parts of the business so how do I get somebody to do the sales and I can manage them somebody to do the finance and I manage them somebody to do the marketing and I manage them that’s really the difference between being self-employed and entrepreneurship and those three those two are not the same thing and the third and probably the most important tip

I can give you is always do something that’s important to you and something you feel passionate about and the reason for that I’m sure you’ve heard it before it sounds quite fluffy but the reason for that is simply this there are often times in the early days of the business where the only thing that’s going to feed you is the passion because there is no money the clients pay too late the suppliers won’t pay money upfront your costs are always higher than your income and you’ve got almost important cost that you’ve got to pay up front salaries rentals etc whilst you’re only the money much later on and so enjoying what

you do and loving what you do is often going to be the only important thing that keeps you doing what you do so always make sure you do something that’s close to heart and not necessarily something that you understand or something that you think you can do clearly because there is a market potential if it’s close to heart and take it from experience you’re going to keep doing it for much much longer I wish you well in your business journey and remember if it was easy everyone would do it

my advice for somebody who’s really new at this is to get comfortable with ambiguity learn about tenacity you really need a lot of tenacity so stick-to-itiveness not giving up

I was working on a video project with some some bank executives one time and the the president and CEO said in this meeting with with all the employees is we will never acquire our success we will execute it and I realize like how important that is in our industry to do you know I think of it’s easy to acquire new clients to sign up more people you know say oh if

I just get another project that’s what it’s going to take to be successful and the truth is we have to execute it if you do good work that’s where you build a successful business it’s not by having more clients than the next guy we’re trying to just get more people in the door it’s the it comes back to that the quality over quantity thing I think is the biggest piece of advice

I would give is focus on the clients you have even if you’ve got one client just do a killer job for them and they’ll hire you again and they’ll tell their friend and that is the biggest thing you can do is to do good work for the people that have already trusted you with their business the people that have said yes do a great job for them I think sometimes

it’s easy in the middle of a project to kind of go okay I’m kind of done with this project I just not I just got to get it out the door I’ve been there I’ve done that and I stopped myself and say wait a second the goal is not to just get this out the door

the goal is to to get it out the door and for it to be great and if you do that the success will come having a great support mechanism so seeking out peers people who are also kind of in the same station in life running a small business doesn’t it need to be a video business but running a small business having peers and mentors people have been there done that

Executive Coaching – Coaching Movie

I’m a little bit controversial in this regard because I don’t see much difference between executive coaching and life coaching for me the only difference actually is that executive.

coaching is coaching which is paid for by a company as opposed to not move especially if it’s paid for by an individual we tentacle in life coaching but this is just a language that maybe just my language but you know whether you’re closing your coaching an individual with your coaching an.

executive or whether you’re coaching somebody that is not an executive it’s still a human being that has certain goals and certain things that they would like to do in their life or their career and they have a whole bunch of other things that are getting in their way interference.

if you wish that’s to those goals and my working hypothesis on this is that most of that interference is in here they don’t present with that they present with all sorts of interference which is external to them but actually the interference tends to be actually in

there and how they’re relating to one of those external things I think that the first benefit of truly removing that interference perhaps would be and maybe it’s the most important exceptional well-being when we can act totally consciously in every moment we are likely to be able to exercise impulse control where we’re likely to be in the moment you know doing attending to what

we need to be attending to in a particular moment rather than attending to the future or the past which is what tends to happen when the brain is working in default mode when we are attending to the present moment it is pretty well it’s uncontroversial I think now that when we return into the present moment

we are happy there is a higher level of serotonin in the brain low levels of dopamine which created all their cravings and addictions which also meant elite are suffering is flying on an error so I think what all that amounts to is a feeling of satisfaction or well-being so that’s benefit a now

I’m not quite sure what other benefits really matter once you’ve got benefit a sort it out but fundamentally if we are happy if we are acting if we’re doing the right thing moment by moment not just what appears to be right for us in a particular moment but what actually is right for us and others in the context of the longer

term then we will be successful so you say benefit be which is a spin-off of genuine well-being which can only occur when we do the right thing moment by moment is exceptional success benefit see we get promoted that’s it slightly flippant but you know I think those are the two if you wish key benefits of this kind of coaching
